Chrome Restaurant Chairs
Our 1950s style chrome diner chairs the strongest you can find. Each diner chair weighs a whopping 20 pounds. There frame is welded together so you don't have to do any assembly. We use high grade and thick Naugahyde brand vinyl. Naugahyde has been our supplier of choice for upholstery vinyl for over 40 years. When you buy a diner chair from Richardson Seating you are buying a piece of history and Americana. We can upholster your chair with a V back or a channel back or even types of tufting. We specialize in decorative upholstery styles and if you have an idea we can probably get it done. There are many creative ways to use contrasting piping to make unique color combinations. Diner chairs were made popular in the 40s and 50s at roadside diners. You can still find diner chairs like the ones we make at many of the diner style restaurants along the highway as well as diners in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. One of the things that makes our 1950s style chrome chairs better than the others is that our chairs are very heavy duty. You will not find another diner chair out there with a 14 gauge steel frame that is all welded. THese are chairs that we hope you pass down to your grandkids.
Chrome dining chairs are an idea piece of furniture for any home. They work great in the kitchen as kitchen chairs and they work great as basement chairs. You can pull them into the garage for a poker game or even bring them outside when the weather is nice. They are not outdoor chairs so make sure they don't get exposed to the sun or get wet, but for an hour or two or a screened in porch would be perfect. When you are looking for this type of dining chair the main thing you want to check is the thickness of the steel, the quality of the upholstery, and how the steel parts are attached. There are two ways to attach steel. Steel parts can be bolted together or they can be welded together. Welds don't tend to become loose while bolts and screws will probably loosen over time. We use bolts for some of our styles but our retro chrome diner chair is all welded. It is the strongest diner chair in the industry. When you combine it with heavy duty Naugahyde vinyl, you have a chair that could be a family heirloom.
